Joey Krug
Joey is a Partner at Founders Fund. Joey previously served as Co-CIO at Pantera Capital, one of the largest blockchain-focused investment firms, which he joined in 2017. There, he invested in the first institutional rounds of companies like Starkware, Arbitrum, and Alchemy. He is co-founder of the Forecast Foundation, which contributes to the development of Augur, and a co-founder of Eco, a simple balance that lets you spend, send, save and make money at the same time. Prior to Pantera, Joey built a sound-based point-of-sale payment system.
Joey started programming in Applesoft BASIC when in middle school after his dad bought him an Apple II GS on eBay. He studied CS in college because he enjoys being able to translate his ideas into code. He started angel investing in 2016 and co-started a top-ranked AngelList Syndicate. Joey is a Thiel Fellow and an Edmund Hillary Fellow.
